Barge Cruising is luxury with a private expert tour guide, often a Michelin-level restaurant chef, and personal relaxing private attention. In 2023, they cruised the Canal du Bourgogne (check their website) and plan another barge cruise -- this time in the Scotland Highlands with its unique culture and countryside. 11-Day Trip
Travelers would fly into Heathrow and INVERNESS on Thursday. They will meet on Sunday with the Barge in Inverness and travel along Loch Ness for six days exploring the nearby countryside. See more below.
After the barge, everyone returns to Inverness and spend the day, In the morning they fly to Heathrow using British Airways and fly to the States.
After the barge trip, hop a four-hour train from Inverness to Edinburg during late afternoon. Relax in the hotel. The plan is to spend four nights in Edinburg: spend a couple of days touring the city and rent a mini-van for a day trip/tour to Pitlochry area and another day/tour to the Stirling area.

BARGE describes the two available barges and all the financial details and Barge Ladies T&C. Most likely the group will make a decision in the spring of 2024, based on barge availability (a two-month window) and participation.
ITINERARY lists the daily tour excursions with either barge and the added two options. Everyone can book the Viator excursions around 30 days before departure.
LODGING offers the hotels available on the trip. They will recommend and advise everyone how to book the hotels (around 90 days before departure).
TRAVEL includes airfare and train fares. Everyone can use their own booking ON-LINE or personal TA. They recommend all use their TA. In case of problems, it is easier for one TA to fix stuff. Later, they will recommend Travel Insurance.
